How to arrive in Ohrid

In Ohrid you can get from all sides and through Kichevo or Resen, also through Mavrovo and Struga, and also you can come from Stenje or Sv.Naum. There is only one well-known road that leads to Ohrid and he has an international designation E-65. This road is planned to grow into Highway. Ohrid will not miss any of your navigation devices. That’s most secure.

Parkings are paid, in places where you can park there are boards, take care of where you park your cars.

There is a regular bus service from Bitola and Skopje. You would need about three and a half hours for this route from Skopje.
The easiest way to get to Ohrid is from Skopje, where buses travel every few hours. The bus ticket is worth MKD 520 in one direction (10 or 8,50 EUR) or about 750 MKD in both directions. From Albania there is a bus from Tirana to the city of Struga, and from Struga you can take a taxi to Ohrid for about 8 euros, but there is a possibility to share taxi with other passengers. Taxi vehicles can be found at one of the Bus Stations in the center of Struga, and the service for this route Struga – Ohrid is 50 MKD or use a local bus that costs 40 MKD.

Bus from Montenegro
If you want to reach Ohrid and Macedonia from Montenegro, a regular bus line from Herceg Novi to Skopje via Albania passes through Kotor, Budva, Bar and Ulcinj. Ticket prices vary from a place that is your starting point in Montenegro; the most expensive one is from Herceg Novi and costs about 25 €.

Ohrid Bus Station

Ohrid bus station is two kilometers from the city center (about 30 minutes walk). Taxis from the bus stop to the center cost about 2 € (120 denars), but be careful because the taxi drivers near the bus station can charge you more, you need to settle the price before entering the taxi. In the summer, travelers traveling from Ohrid to Skopje should purchase their tickets one or two days in advance. Ohrid has an international airport: St. The Apostle Paul is about 7 km from the city center that connects Ohrid with Amsterdam, Belgrade, Brussels, Tel Aviv and Zurich. From June 2015, Wizz Air connects Ohrid twice a week with Basel and London. The airport is open throughout the year, but most airlines fly only summer, so check with your travel agent or airline for the latest information.
A new bus transport connects the airport and the city port of Ohrid. Buses operate twice a week (Wednesdays and Sundays) and are scheduled by Wizzair flights to / from Basel and London-Luton.
